PANJIM: Three-day assembly session to be held in the last week of July but Speaker Rajesh Patnekar said the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) can take a call if the session has to be extended or not.

Patnekar said that BAC will be meeting on July 16 where there will be some discussions regarding the upcoming assembly session. “We have to consider the business of the BAC. If they want to extent, they can decide,” said Patnekar.

He added that decisions on the length of Assembly sessions are pre-decided. He added that it is not in his jurisdiction to take a call if the Assembly session should be a short one or a long one but for the government to decide on the same.

He added that the Assembly, which will begin on July 28 and end on July 30, will have a question hour, discussions on bills and that some demands may be passed during the session.
