PANJIM: Schools across the State reopened on Monday as the directorate of education lifted restrictions after two years. Some schools will also open in a staggered manner.
The students arrived in the school with all enthusiasm while, the teachers gave them a warm welcome.
In all the schools, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) guidelines issued by the Directorate of Education were strictly followed to ensure utmost safety.
At few places, the parents expressed their apprehensions over the school managements asking them to sign consent form stating that the parents are sending children at their own risk and that the schools will not be held responsible.
However, the respective taluka ADEI later clarified that the consent form was as per the circular issued by the education department.
The Sanjay School for Special Children teachers said that it was an emotional moment for them to welcome special children after two years. Sanjay School chairman Guruprasad Pawaskar said that during last two years they faced lot of difficulty. Though online classes were conducted often teachers visited homes of special children.

Teachers dance to welcome students back in school
PONDA: The Taleem Group of School at Usgao, welcomed the students in a very unique way on the first day of reopening.
It was after a long two year gap that the students were back in school. For some it was the first time that they had set foot in the school.
Welcoming students, some teachers danced along with the kids, while some teachers took the hand prints of the kids. Few teachers even sang to the tunes of the welcome song.
The school was decorated with balloons as if it was some party. The students were given stationary kits as welcome gifts. The students were overwhelmed to come back to school.
