PONDA: With just one month felt for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, the Goa Bagayatdar Sahakari Kharedi Vikri Saunstha Maryadit (GBSKVS) Chairman and former South Goa MP Adv Narendra Savoikar on Thursday disclosed from August 6, Goa Bagayatdar will launch a scheme for the customers to place order for groceries through dedicated WhatsApp numbers for every branch across the State.
Giving details about the scheme, Adv Savoikar said, “The scheme has been named ‘Customers WhatsApp Goods Order’ wherein the customers can place an order for groceries along with goods name, brand, quantity required on WhatsApp in morning between 8.30 am and 1 pm and collect their groceries from Bagayatdar Bazaar in evening between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm, when they leave their workplace.
“List of goods can be either type or should be clear hand writing on a paper and click photo and send on dedicated WhatsApp number. Token numbers will be given and the customers can check their goods and collect them. Payment mode will be cash or card. Minimum amount for goods order should be Rs 1000 and additional service charge of Rs 60 would be charged. No order will be accepted on Sunday,” he said.
He said, “This new service has been started in order to avoid crowd during the Ganesh Festival during COVID-19 pandemic time and to maintain social distancing. Dedicated WhatsApp service numbers are declared for all the 15 branches in the State on which the customers have to place their orders.”
