PANJIM: The District and Sessions Court, North Goa has granted anticipatory bail to history-sheeter Zenito Cardozo in connection with extortion case registered against him in 2019 year. The accused has been granted pre-arrest bail on personal bail bond of Rs 50,000.
Cardozo, who remained underground for nearly two months in a murder case, had surrendered before the police on August 12. The shootout at St Cruz had led to 24 arrests with Cardozo being termed as prime conspirator of the attack.
He was bailed out few days later but arrested in an abduction case thereafter, case reported at Panjim Police Station.
