MAPUSA: Anjuna police has booked Moshin Allabad Khan, resident of Katem Baina, for allegedly raping and cheating a woman.
According to Anjuna police, the complaint alleged that the accused got married to the victim girl, traditionally as per Hindu ritual at Sasoli, Maharashtra and further forcibly sexually assaulted her at her residence on several occasions under the false pretext of getting legally married to her but has now refused to do so. The complainant also alleged that the accused person also took cash worth Rs 3 lakh from her, with the assurance that he will return it back. However, he allegedly failed to do so and thereby has cheated her. The complainant further alleged that the accused person has plans to get married again to a Muslim woman on March 12.
