CUNCOLIM: The Balli-Fatorpa bridge was inaugurated on the Cuncolim MLA Rajan Naik’s birthday, by Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar.
The chief minister also inaugurated the Cuncolim Union Multipurpose Sports Complex, on the occasion. Later, the chief minister laid the foundation stone for a commercial project at Cuncolim market.
The Balli Bridge which was the long pending demand of the people. It was constructed by GSIDC at a cost of Rs 5.5 crore; the Multipurpose Sports Complex was constructed by GSUDA at a cost of Rs 3 crore.
The commercial project at the Cuncolim market will be constructed at a cost of Rs 9.5 crore.
Others present on the occasion were Deputy Chief Minister Francisco Dsouza, Fisheries Minister Avertano Furtado, MP Narendra Savoikar, MLAs Subhash Fal Dessai, Sidharth Kunkolikar, Carlos Almaida, Benjamin Silva and BJP State President Vinay Tendulkar.
On the occasion, Parsekar praised Rajan Naik for carrying out “developmental works silently”.
