MARGAO: Cuncolim Police recovered a body of a 40-year-old man in a stream at an isolated place near Balli.
Cuncolim Police said the victim has been identified as Ulhas Gaonkar, resident of Balli. Ulhas had left his house on Tuesday stating that he was going fishing and failed to return home.
According to Cuncolim Police, they received information on Wednesday about the body at around 1 pm and PSI Mahesh Naik along with his team rushed to the spot. After conducting the panchanama, the body was shifted to South Goa District Hospital . The postmortem report is awaited, the police said.
Police said the victim had undergone treatment at Balli Hospital between October 31 and November 3.
Police have ruled out any foul play and are investigating the case.
