VASCO: Citing hygiene, some concerned Vasco residents have demanded that gobi manchurian stalls be banned at the Saptah.
In a memorandum Vasco submitted to the municipal chief officer, they said that gobi manchuri is prepared in unhygienic condition and prohibited synthetic colours are used in the food. Therefore, they have demanded that gobi manchurian stalls be not allowed at the saptah festival.
A copy of the minutes of the Council meeting has been attached to the memorandum and the minutes mention that in a joint meeting on Thursday, FDA officials asked the MMC not to permit gobi manchurian stalls in Vasco Saptah due to its unhygienic conditions.
In that copy FDA has also mentioned that they have received a complaint that gobi manchuri stalls should not be allowed. And due to unhygeinic condition, synthetic colours used in sauce are dangerous for human consumption.
A copy of the memorandum has also been forwarded to Director of Municipal Administration, Health Officer of Vasco and to the Director of Food and Drug Administration.
