NERUL: Abhijit Banaulikar was elected unopposed as the deputy sarpanch of Nerul Panchayat at the election held at the panchayat office on Thursday. Only Banaulikar had filed the application for the post.
The post was vacant for the last two months after the then deputy sarpanch had tendered his resignation. Out of the nine members, only seven members were present for the election.
