PONDA: NGO Mission Health Education will celebrate 110th birth anniversary of first chief minister of Goa and founder of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party Dayanand Bandodkar, who was fondly know as “Bhausaheb”, at Nandanvan Residency,  Bandora, on Friday.

Remembering Bhausaheb on the eve of his birth anniversary, Mission Health Education Chief Madu Naik said, “Bahusaheb anniversary should be celebrated in the schools for spreading education in the nook and corner of the State. He was a visionary man. He took policy decisions and implemented it. Therefore, Goa today is not only shining in education but also in Health, Industrial and Agriculture sectors. The birth anniversary celebration should not only be limited at the government level but should also be celebrated in schools across the State so that the students know about his contributions to the State.

Right from former Chief Minister Ravi Naik, Cooperation Minister Govind Gaude and MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikar have always shown high respect for Bhausaheb in their speeches for his contribution to education, other sectors and upliftment of the downtrodden.

Bahujan Samaj mostly remembers Bhausaheb for his contribution to the education by setting up schools in the State.
