PANJIM: The special investigation team (SIT) on Monday arrested Yogesh Vazarkar, 47, for his alleged involvement in land grabbing cases.
Vazarkar, who worked as a driver at Bardez mamlatdar office, Mapusa is the third government employee to be arrested in land grabbing cases.
The special investigation team said that two of the 15-odd accused in land grabbing cases, Vikrant Shetty and Sohail Safi were interacting with Vazarkar on a regular basis.
Meanwhile, Rajkumar Maithi, one of the mastermind in land grabbing cases, who was arrested for the second time was granted bail by the court. Bail was also granted to another key accused Sandric Fernandes.
