PANJIM: Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) to decide the
further political strategy in a meeting which will hold on September 16 in
Panjim. Meeting will also chart out various that would be projected by the
manch as it is readying to float its own political outfit on October 2.
“When we are going to contest the election, all the issues
that are concerning the State or people will have to be included in the
agenda,” Arvind Bhatikar, BBSM leader said.
This would be for the first time that BBSM will meet after
its convener Subhash Velingkar was relieved by RSS forcing him to breakaway and
form sangh’s Goa prant.
Another leader of BBSM said that the details on the issues
are yet to be discussed but broadly, the new political party will speak out
against the Casinos and will demand ban on the Electronic Dance Festivals like
Sunburn and Supersonic.
The newly formed party will also oppose increasing
de-goanisation in the North Goa’s coastal belt in the name of tourism. State
government should also place factual position about the Industrial investment
in the reality, BBSM said.
He said the crucial MOI issue will always remain a focal
point of the party which would be the political organ of BBSM.
“The decision is yet
to be taken on whether we will extend support to any political party or contest
in all the constituencies on own,” BBSM leader said.
Shiv Sena has already submitted their proposal to BBSM to
join hands during the Goa polls as they are unanimous with the demands of the
manch. Decision or discussion on the proposal would likely be held during
upcoming meeting.
The move of BBSM supported by Subhash Velingkar would a
major setback to the ruling BJP in the state in view of approaching state
assembly election which are due in March 2017.
