PANJIM: Panjim Police have cracked the burglary case at Miramar within 24 hours. They arrested Arman Khan, ageD 33 years, from Gokulpuri, North East, Delhi and Pawan Gaud, aged 22 years, native of Bhiwandi, Maharashtra.
In her complaint Nishtha Tiwari of Miramar Goa stated that June 1 between 1.30 and 2.25 pm the accused committed theft at their residence, Casa Pires building, Miramar by breaking open the main door latch and effected entry into the flat and stole dark blue colour bag pack containing one men wrist watch of make Tissot’ having silver belt having value of Rs 35, 000, one silver spoon, two silver bowls, one silver pair of earrings valued at Rs 5000, one gold pendent having ‘Om’ design valued at Rs 30,000 and some old currency coins all worth Rs 75, 000/approx. and decamped with the same.
Panaji Town Police Station through their meticulous planning and intelligence collected the information through technical surveillance and CCTV footage and in coordination cracked down the blind house burglary case within 24 hour and managed to trace the identity and apprehended the accused persons.
During the investigation to both the accused persons admitted that they committed the crime in Panjim Police Station jurisdiction and also at Verna jurisdiction. They then went to Colva, where the accused were staying in the hotel and all the stolen property was recovered from them. There were charged under sections s 331(3) 305 The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita(BNS), 2023. Including the stolen property from Verna were all worth Rs 3,00,000 approximately.
The accused Arman Khan is a wanted criminal in the State of Delhi and other states and involved in more than 25 House Breaking Thefts and Burglary crimes in all over India. During the investigation, it is revealed that it is interstate gang and operating in the name of “Raziya Gang”
The team led by PI Panjim Vijaykumar Chodankar, PSI Amir Taral, PSI Dipesh Shetkar, Head constable Nitin Goankar, and police constables Erimiya Gurraya, Minesh Naik, Vikas Naik and Pranay Naik of Panjim PS, developed the information and executed the arrests, under the overall supervision of Sudesh R Naik, SDPO Panjim and Akshat Kaushik, IPS, SP North.
