MARGAO: Residents of Benaulim and surrounding areas were upset with the delays experienced at the Benaulim post office due to problems with the computer system on Friday.
“For the last eight days, people have been coming to the post office and have been sent back. People have various reasons for visiting, like post and recurring deposits, but the systems have been down and we are asked to come again,” said Benaulim resident Rudolf Barreto.
Sources stated that a request had been to Infosys, which is handling the system, but no relief had come through.
Furthermore, the manager of the Benaulim post office is on leave, and an official has been deputed from the Margao post office, but he was unable to address the concerns of the visitors as the systems were still down.
