MARGAO: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao has extended support to the ongoing farmers’ agitation.
He said that we are dependent on the farmers for a living and opposed the bills and amendments proposed by the Central government.
Churchill said, “The farmer’s bill won’t go through.”
When asked what will be the effect of the agitation and bills on the State, Churchill said, “We have not troubled our farmers in Goa but farmers in the other States of India are going to be in trouble.”
“We have to stand by the farmers,” he added.
