MARGAO: Despite both suspects being remanded to police custody in the Benaulim murder case, authorities have not yet recovered the weapon used in the killing of Vishwanath Sidnal.
Vishwanath’s wife, Mangala alias Vaibhavi, and her paramour, Suraj Myageri, were arrested for the murder.
An officer, while confirming ongoing interrogation of the duo, expressed confidence in locating the murder weapon.
Suraj, apprehended at Kadoli in Belgaum, has been remanded to nine days’ police custody, while his paramour, Mangala alias Vaibhavi, is remanded to seven days.
In the meantime, police have obtained statements from three individuals involved in the case and recovered some incriminating evidence.
