MARGAO: The villagers of Betalbatim gram sabha demanded that a record be maintained of the migrants residing in the village.
This has been an issue that has dominated other Salcete-based gram sabhas too.
Sarpanch Anthony Fernandes informed the villagers that the records are maintained but by the local police who had done the cross-verification exercise already but that he would look more into this.
