MAPUSA/RAIA: Vasco United FC continued their dominance in the GFA U-13 Division II League defeating Baina Sports Club 9-0 in a Round 3 match played at the Panchayat ground, Chicalim, on Monday.
Vasco United were leading 4-0 at half time with Athan Fernandes scoring all the goals. In the second half, Judah Fernandes scored a brilliant goal while Samarth Naik scored a brace. Judah added one more before Afan Shah scored the ninth goal.
In the second match, Benfica Youth Club with their mentor Bernadinho Velho on the sidelines defeated Rising Star SCC 7-0.
Sauskrut Shetankar scored 4 goals, Parthenon Kudapkar scored a brace while Zinedine Correia completed the win.
In the morning, Betalbatim Sporting Club continued their winning streak with a 4-1 win over CAC Cansaulim. Betalbatim SC were leading 3-0 at half time. Shiva Indwar was the star of the day with a brilliant hat-trick while Jovalison scored the fourth goal.
Ace Soccer Academy SCC drew with Cortalim Gymkhana 3-3 in an edge of a seat encounter. Mavino Xavier, who has been amongst the goals this season, scored a brace; while Shreehan Alornkar pulled a goal back for Ace Soccer Academy at half time.
Ace Soccer Academy not to be left behind put pressure in the second half to make it 2-2 with a goal from Kartik Nayak. Cortalim Gymkhana kept up the tempo and scored again through Mavino Xavier while Adarsh Thomas equalised for Ace Soccer Academy.
Raia FC and Navelim Villagers Union registered wins at astro turf ground, Fatorda.
Raia FC trounced Colmorod Ratwado SC 9-0. Samuel Cruz scored a hat-trick, Shane Cruz scored a brace while Aaron Souza, Bhuvan Sathe, Jazz Oliveira and Joshua Vaz scored a goal each for Raia FC.
In another match, Navelim Villagers Union defeated Sarzora SC by 7-1 goals. Liroy Gomes and Jovan Gomes netted a brace while Addison Dias, Joywin Fernandes and Vashon Rodrigues scored a goal each for Navelim Villagers Union. The only goal for Sarzora SC was scored by Jonathan Leitao.
