PONDA: The villagers of Bethora-Nirnakal-Konshem-Kodar Panchayat are waiting for the inauguration of the new panchayat building which has been completed after a six-year delay.
Now, the locals are eagerly waiting for its inauguration by the government. The new panchayat building comprises ground plus fully equipped 700-sitting capacity hall that was desired by locals of Bethora.
A newly built spacious auditorium for Bethora Nirankal Konshe Kodar Gram Panchayat is equipped with all facilities and built at a cost of Rs 2.17 crore The existing panchayat body led by Sarpanch Umesh Gaude pushed for its completion but the work gained momentum only in 2022 and the hall is now completed and ready for inauguration since past few months, but has not been inaugurated.
Since there are no facilities for marriage and other functions nearby, people have demanded for early opening.
