Margao: The Betul Coastal Security Police Station was provided outboard motor to improve surveillance and patrolling activity along the South Goa coastal stretch.
The outboard motor was presented to Coastal Police under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by Haathi Mahal Resort at Mobor.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Rajendra Prabhudesai said, “They had requested for the outboard motor, which will be used for the boat that carries out patrolling activity.”
He added that this will help the police to monitor the coastal stretch right from Majorda till Cabo de Rama.
“We will keep a watch over fishing trawlers within 5 nautical miles and we can also take action against those that come from outside. We can also keep a watch over water sports activities too,” he added.
