Bhaskar Nayak gets six months extension

PANJIM: The State cabinet on Friday decided to grant a six-month extension in service to Higher Education Director Bhaskar Nayak. The cabinet also decided to appoint additional chief electrical engineer Lakshmanan as electrical inspector on contract basis.

PANJIM: The State cabinet on Friday decided to grant a six-month extension in service to Higher Education Director Bhaskar Nayak. The cabinet also decided to appoint additional chief electrical engineer Lakshmanan as electrical inspector on contract basis.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said that six month post facto extension has been granted to Nayak as principal of Government College and acting Director of Higher Education from April 1 to September 30. 
Nayak chairs the State government appointed advisory committee on medium of instruction issue. “Meanwhile, we have initiated process to fill the posts of principals in five government colleges,” he said. 
The cabinet also accorded its approval for creation of 42 new posts in the Department of Women and Child Development.
