The family of late Congress leader Dr. Ketan Bhatikar has made an emotional appeal to the public, requesting people not to politicise his death or spread speculation surrounding the incident.

In a video message released by the family, Ketan Bhatikar’s elder brother, Dr. Kausthub Bhatikar, along with their parents and Ketan’s wife, urged people to allow the family to grieve in peace.

Speaking emotionally, Dr. Kausthub said that Ketan’s passing on May 15 had deeply affected the family and thanked everyone who visited and offered condolences during the difficult time.

However, he expressed concern over the speculation and theories circulating over the past few days regarding the circumstances surrounding Ketan’s death.

“For us, politics is over since Ketan left us. We do not want politics over his death now. We do not want any inquiry and we do not want to know what happened, because nothing will bring our Ketan back,” he said in the appeal.

The family also requested people not to cast doubts on Sushant, stating that they had complete trust in him and always felt reassured whenever he was with Ketan.

“We know what Sushant means to us. We were always worry-free whenever they were together, so I request everyone not to doubt him,” Dr. Kausthub added.

He further stated that he would try to continue Ketan Bhatikar’s social work in the future and appealed to the public for support in carrying forward his brother’s legacy.
