CANACONA: A 30-year-old Bhatpal resident allegedly committed suicide at Dupeamoll, Bhatpal in Canacona.
According to Canacona police, they received a call on Monday that a body was found hanging from a tree at Dupeamoll-Bhatpal in Canacona. The police rushed to the site and recovered the body of one Dhaku Laxman Varak, a resident of Dupeamoll, Bhatpal. After conducting the panchanama, the police sent the body to Hospicio, Margao for an autopsy and later handed over the same to the family for final rites.
A case of unnatural death has been registered.
The case is being investigated by PSI T Chavan under the supervision of PI Rajendra Prabhudesai.
