According to Jagraon (Punjab) police, Bhengre was arrested from Malak road area from Jagraon with LSD, Molly and Mawau, drugs usually consumed by high class youngsters at parties in metro cities.
Jagraon police confirmed Bhengre’s links with French, Spanish and Russian drug mafias, who are closely linked with Goa and Karnataka drug cartels. “From here, the consignment is transported to other parts of the country,” an officer said.
Interestingly, Goa police is oblivious about Bhengre’s arrest in Punjab. SP North Umesh Gaonkar said there is no official correspondence between the two states as yet.
