Bicholim CHC decides to hold health camps

BICHOLIM: Under the Swayampurna Goa Abhiyan, the Community Health Centre, Bicholim in association with the Advalpal Village Panchayat has decided to bring about awareness and hold special camps for the benefit of the villagers.

Addressing a press conference, here, CHC Bicholim Health officer Dr Medha Salkar said that under the scheme they are given Advalpal village for bringing about awareness among the masses.

“Because of the COVID-19 pandemic there are many people who are undergoing depression, there are also some school dropouts and even some have not visited the hospital so their health has deteriorated,” Dr Medha informed.

She said, “The CHC would target all the age group and would provide them with all the information and all the necessary health check up. The village panchayat would get the people and the health workers would provide them with the required help.”

“Already we have taken up a seminar on diabetes and about 55 villagers attended it. We would also have health check up camps for all the age groups. We have already chalked out plan till December and with regards to their health we would make them Atmanirbhar,” Dr Medha said.
