Bicholim clashes: 11 held released

BICHOLIM, APRIL 18
Eleven persons, who were arrested in connection with clashes between two neighbouring families on Friday evening over construction of a temporary shed in front of a house at Bicholim, were released on bail on Sunday.
It may be recalled that two persons were injured in the clashes when preparations for the famous Shirgao Zatra at Bicholim were in progress.
Bicholim police had arrested Vishwadeep Chari, Shivram Chari, Swamitra Chari, Deepak Chari, Prabhavati Chari, Mayur Chari, Bhimavati Chari, Prakash Chari, Uday Chari, Suhasinin Chari and Somakant Chari.
Meanwhile, Ramakant Chari and Lalita Chari, who were injured and were shifted to Asilo Hospital at Mapusa, were discharged.
