PANJIM: The Bicholim Police arrested a history sheeter and proclaimed offender from Sanquelim wanted in connection with several crimes in Goa.
The accused identified as Satish Gawas was arrested from Mumbai Airport after he arrived from Dubai. He has been absconding for the last two years and many proclamations and non-bailable warrants are pending against him in different courts in Goa in criminal cases and cases under NIA Act.
The detailed information regarding his criminal antecedents and records were shared to all the Airports in India by the Goa Police. After coordination with Mumbai Airport authorities, he was intercepted and taken into custody by a team of Bicholim Police Station. Presently he is in judicial custody for two days. He will be produced again before JMFC, Bicholim, on August 26, 2024.
The entire operation was carried out by PI Bicholim Dinesh Gadekar and PSI Amarnath Palni under the supervision of SDPO, Bicholim, Sagar Ekoskar and over all supervision of Akshat Khaushal, IPS, SP, North Goa.
