Bicholim locals made aware on diseases

A special meeting to create awareness among the villagers, including students, about diseases like Swine Flu, Dengue, Malaria, etc, was convened at Bicholim deputy collector’s office on Thursday.
A team of doctors from PHC Bicholim, school teachers and prominent citizens were present for the meeting, which was chaired by Bicholim Deputy Collector Narayan Gaad.
The doctors guided the teachers to follow some basic principles with regard to Swine Flu and advised them to take proper care incase they find symptoms like fever, cough, headache, vomiting, etc, among the students.
Bicholim Mamlatdar Pramod Bhat, Joint Mamlatdar Gurudas Desai, Dr Shivram Lotlikar, Dr Medha Salkar, Dr Girish Pednekar, Sanquelim Municipal Council Chairperson Anand Naik, teachers, panchayat members and villagers were present for the meeting.
