Bicholim man seriously hurt after friend stabs him

A 30-year-old man from Bicholim was seriously injured, after his friend brutally stabbed him in the neck near Amona Bridge on Saturday night.
Bicholim Police arrested the accused Bechan Sahani of UP in connection with the attack on his friend Vakil Yadav.
According to Bicholim Police, on Saturday afternoon, Sahani went to Yadav’s residence to ask for the money, which he had given to Yadav.
Police further informed that Yadav refused to give the money. As a result, quarrel broke out between the two.
In the meantime, some locals, noticing the two arguing, intervened in the matter and resolved the matter.
Police said at about 9 pm, Sahani again went to Yadav’s residence and allegedly attacked Yadav with a knife. Yadav, who was seriously injured, was rushed to Sanquelim PHC, from where he was shifted to GMC Hospital in Bambolim. However, Yadav’s condition was stated to be stable.
Bicholim Police Inspector Harish Madkaikar late Saturday night arrested Sahani and registered the offence under Section 307. Police is investigating the case.
