MAPUSA: The Mapusa police on Tuesday arrested a Bihar native for allegedly assaulting, abusing and threatening his neighbour at Cunchelim.
According to the police, one Ashish Kumar Jha, a native of Bihar and currently residing at Cuchelim, Mapusa lodged a complaint stating that he was abused, assaulted with a chopper and threatened by his neighbour over the personal grudge at Khadpawado.
Acting swiftly, the Mapusa police registered a case under section 504, 326 and 506 (ii) of IPC and constituted different teams with instructions to collect the intelligence in respect of the accused involved. The staff moved in and around the locality and identified the accused Sunil Kumar Rayand and zeroed down on him at Cuchelim.
