MAPUSA: In a raid conducted at new Mapusa bus stand, Mapusa Police arrested a Bihar native identified as Dilshad Irfan Shaikh (23) and presently residing near Alankar theatre for allegedly possessing narcotic substance suspected to be ganja worth Rs 90,000.
According to information obtained from Mapusa PI Paresh Naik, the raid was conducted post midnight of Wednesday between 00.30 hrs to 02.30 hrs where the accused was caught red-handed with 900 grams of ganja worth rupees Rs 90,000 approximately.
An offence has been registered under section 20(b)(ii)(A) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances NDPS Act. A team lead by PI Paresh Naik under supervision and guidance of sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Mapusa Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan who have monitored the Investigation.
