PANJIM: Old Goa police have arrested a 35-year-old man from Bihar for allegedly trying to outrage the modesty of a woman at Dhulapi Bus Stand.
According to the police, a woman lodged a complaint stating that at Dhulapi Bus Stand, Corlim, when she was standing with her family, the accused approached her with his bike offered her a lift and when they refused, he started abusing them and also threatened to kill the complainant and her family members.
The arrested has been identified as Amit Kumar Singh, resident of Bihar. The incident took place on February 16, 2024, police said.
The Old Goa police have registered an FIR under section 504, 506 (ii), 509 and 354-B and the case is being investigated by LPSI Laureen.
