PANJIM: The Panjim Police arrested a 45-year-old Bihar native for allegedly being in possession of 940 grams of ganja worth Rs 94,000.
According to the police, the accused identified as Umakant Pandey was arrested when he was allegedly found with the contraband during a raid conducted at Taleigao on Thursday.
The raid was conducted by a team of police officers namely PSI Rajaram Bagkar, constables Laxman Mhamal, Prathamesh Malik, Minesh Naik and Sarthak Desai under the supervision of PI Panaji Vijaykumar S Chodankar.
