MAPUSA: Mapusa Police arrested one Gautam Kumar (22), native of Bihar for outraging modesty and sexually harassing a lady.
According to the police, a lady lodged a complaint stating that the incident occurred between August 20 and 27, the accused person developed friendship with the complainant and by taking advantage of friendship, intentionally clicked the victim’s photographs without her consent on his mobile and to foster personal interaction with her despite a clear indication by the victim.
The police said that the accused demanded favours from the victim and thereafter disseminated the captured images to the complainant’s friend thereby outraging the modesty of the victim and further threatened with dire consequences if demand of favours is not fulfilled by the complainant.
During the course of investigation, a team consisting of PSI Ashish Porob and Police Constable Prakash Polekar apprehended the accused and brought him to Goa. The accused admitted his involvement in the crime.
