PONDA: The Ponda police arrested Dilip Yogendra Sah, 22, a resident of Ponda and native of Bihar for allegedly sodomising a 11-year-old boy yesterday.
The accused allegedly had unnatural sex with the minor boy and the parents later filed a complaint with the Ponda police against the offender in this connection.
A crime under section 377 IPC and Section 8 (2) of Goa Childrens Act, Section 4, 8 and 12 of POCSO Act has been registered against the accused.
This is the second incident of sexual assault on a minor reported in Ponda within a week. It may be recalled that earlier on October 3, Ponda Police arrested Pappu Ramvilas Singh, 23, residing in a rented premises at Durbhat and native of UP for having forceful sexual intercourse with a minor girl from at his rented room.
