MARGAO: Vasco Police on Sunday arrested one 61-year-old person Chandrakhant Gavande from Sada-Vasco for committing theft of a scooter parked under one apartment near KTC bus stand.
Vasco Police Station Head Constable Vijay Patel registered an offence under Section 379 of IPC against the accused and lodged him in police custody. He will be produced before the court on September 13.
The police said that complainant Ramprakash Yadav had parked the scooter below an apartment near KTC bus stand, which was stolen by the alleged accused.
Police said that the alleged accused was seen moving with stolen scooter and was caught and interrogated. In the past he had also committed theft of scooters from Vasco and Calangute.
