VASCO: A bike rider, identified as Hassan Rajesab Hajrathi, 55, from Baina, suffered severe injuries after his two-wheeler collided with a tanker near the Indian Oil Corporation junction in Vasco on Wednesday morning. Hassan was shifted to the Goa Medical College (GMC) for medical treatment.
The incident occurred as Hassan was traveling towards Baina on his bike. Reports indicate that the tanker (registration number GA 06 V 9666), driven by Lokesh Kodak, a resident of Karnataka, was making a turn near the IOC junction to head towards Sada.
According to sources, Hassan became trapped under the wheels of the tanker, resulting in serious leg injuries. Fortunately, he narrowly escaped being crushed under the tanker’s wheels. Emergency responders transported him to Chicalim Cottage Hospital, from where he was later referred to GMC for further medical attention.
Vasco police have initiated an investigation into the accident, with Head Constable Ashish Naik leading the inquiry.
