PONDA: A group of migrants belonging to the Bishnoi Samaj were attacked by some locals, the former were performing religious rituals in a plot owned by them at Mangueshim, on Thursday at around 12.30 pm.
According sources, when Mangueshim locals learnt that migrant were performing religious rituals, they rushed the spot and damaged the three cars and also assaulted the people of Bishnoi Samaj forcing them to flee from the spot.
Following this, police rushed the spot and restored law and order. Police have registered offence against unknown persons for attacking and damaging the vehicles of Bishnoi Samaj people.
It is learnt that some locals are opposed to construction of mega project and a temple a plot at Mangueshim.
