Bishop Allwyn admitted in GMC; kept under observation

PANJIM: Bishop of Sindhudurg Rt Rev Allwyn Barretto has been admitted to the Goa Medical College Hospital after reportedly suffering from cardiac problems.
According to sources, Bishop Allwyn was brought directly to GMC early Friday morning from Sawantwadi. Initially, sources said he was kept in the ICCU but later shifted to CCU.
Sources said he is kept under observation.
It might be recalled that Bishop Allwyn was in Goa recently when the Major Rector of the Salesians of Fr Angel Fernandez Artime, 10th successor of Don Bosco was on his visit to the Province of Goa.
Bishop Allwyn, along with the Archbishop of Goa and Daman, Rt Rev Dr Filipe Neri Ferrao, concelebrated a High Mass along with Fr Angel at the Don Bosco Shrine in Panjim on March 30.
