MARGAO: Congress leader Yuri Alemao accused the Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party of being only publicity hungry and not bothered about the people who are suffering due to the rise in Covid cases while leaders of the two parties have failed to provide oxygen to the suffocating people.
In a press note Yuri lamented that Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant preferred to glorify himself with massive advertisements on his birthday instead of doing something to the suffering people in Goa and added that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has spent Rs 150 crore in the last three months on advertisements aimed at self promotion.
He said both Delhi and Goa have the same scenario where people are dying due to non availability of oxygen or medicines and that even beds are not available for patients in the hospitals. He also lamented that the government has not come up with any plan to vaccinate journalists on priority basis as they are in the forefront reporting on Covid cases.
While referring to the rap given by the Delhi High Court to the AAP government for its mishandling the pandemic in the national capital, Yuri said that AAP is part of BJP parivar and is only trying to split the secular votes in Goa.
