PANJIM: BJP Goa State President Sadanand Shet Tanawade on Monday appointed Prabhakar Gaonkar from Sanguem as party’s Scheduled Tribes Morcha State president.
With this appointment, the BJP State Unit will declare new committees of Mahila Morcha, Yuva Morcha, Kisan Morcha, Minority Committee and SC Morcha.
“All these BJP Morchas are dissolved and new committees are being appointed. Due to the pandemic their appointment was delayed. Today, we announced ST Morcha president. The remaining appointments will soon be declared,” Tanawade said at a press conference after formally inducting Gaonkar as the ST Morcha State President.
Former minister Ramesh Tawadkar said they are making efforts to reach out to minorities creating awareness on government schemes.
