PANJIM: The announcement of BJP candidates, which was expected to be out on Wednesday, has been deferred and is most likely to be released on Thursday afternoon.
The party on Wednesday night released photographs of a meeting held in Delhi to finalise names the candidates in each of 40 assembly constituencies.
BJP National President J P Nadda chaired the meeting which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video call while other top leaders too remained present during the discussion.
BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade had said last week the meeting will be held on January 19 followed by declaration of candidates.
