PANJIM: With rural Goa hit with one of its worst floods, the ruling BJP State unit has urged the Central government to intervene to provide relief to the victims. The party has also decided to launch a helpline number for those in distress.
In a press statement issued, BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said that the party has requested the Central government to provide all the necessary assistance to help the people, who are devastated with the worst ever floods that were witnessed on Thursday-Friday.
Tanavade also informed that the party has launched a helpline which will help the people to reach for help.
