PANJIM: At the backdrop of speculations about possible retirement of Union minister and North Goa Member of Parliament Shripad Naik from parliamentary elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa Pradesh has made it clear that Naik will be the candidate for 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
“Shripad Naik is our minister at the Centre and our senior most leader. Everyone knows that he will be our candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. We don’t know who is creating these controversies and misunderstandings,” State BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said.
