PANJIM: The arrival of BJP national organisational secretary B L Santhosh, after Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, was admitted at GMC following internal bleeding, did not bear any fruit and the meetings he held remained inconclusive.
After meeting former chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar, who refused to compromise, Santhosh did not meet any success at the BJP core committee meeting too, which was held Tuesday morning.
Sources said, Santhosh did try to persuade many BJP leaders on leadership change but did not meet any desirable success.
“It’s high time the party takes a decision on the future leader considering the deteriorating condition of chief minister. But the central leader did not have any solution to the crisis,” said a source in the BJP core committee.
Santhosh held the core committee meeting at Margao late last night and then left for Bangalore. The meeting deliberated on planning strategies for both Lok Sabha seats in the ensuing election and taking ahead the party programmes, sources said.
