PANJIM, MARCH 2
The BJP is all set to hit it early even as assembly elections are year away. It will kick-off its assembly campaign on March 4, by releasing a booklet `Tainted Congress Government’ containing information about alleged scams that have come to light during Kamat-led government, informed Laxmikant Parsekar, BJP State President while addressing a press conference on Wednesday here.
“The booklet will be released at the hands of Gopinath Munde, Goa Observer, in Panjim on Friday wherein he will address the party workers. It will be sort of start of our election campaign,” Parsekar said even as he ruled out a possibility of early poll.
All the scams whether it is illegal mining, issue about police-drug dealers nexus, that have come to fore during last four years, will be covered in the booklet. The booklets will be distributed through responsible party workers, said Parsekar.
Interestingly, information has been compiled from questions tabled during last session of the assembly.
“We had filed about 950 questions but only few came to be discussed in the assembly due to paucity of time but all the questions were answered and we have that information in our booklet,” he said.
The booklet will be published in English and Marathi and if required also in Konkani, he said while replying to a question.
