BJP had no role in splitting Congress, says Barbosa

Anthony Barbosa, Vice-President, South Goa BJP ST Morcha said that his party is already enjoying the required majority in the Goa Assembly and hence they had no role in splitting the Congress.

MARGAO: Stating that the Congress party is no more an ocean, but turned into a pond, BJP Scheduled Tribes, South Goa Morcha on Tuesday tried to wash their hands by stating that their party has played no role pertaining to the ongoing political developments in Goa.  

Anthony Barbosa, Vice-President, South Goa BJP ST Morcha said that his party is already enjoying the required majority in the Goa Assembly and hence they had no role in splitting the Congress. 

“Taking into consideration the political developments in the State of Goa for the last few days, it seems that Congress MLAs are themselves keen in joining the BJP,” he stated. 

“Once upon a time, the leaders of Congress used to claim that their party was like an ocean, but unfortunately it has now turned into a small pond,” said Barbosa. 

Reacting to the BJPs Presidential elections, Barbosa 

Said that it was a proud moment for them and also for the common man as it is for the first time, a Draupadi Murmu, a lady from the tribal community has given a representation for the top most position in the country.
