Briefing the media, Chandan said instead of transferring the chief officer, the government should dissolve the municipality and send the City Fathers home.
“We demand that the government dissolve the municipality if the councillors are not ready to cooperate with the chief officer to provide a people friendly administration,” Chandan demanded.
Saying that the CO has done nothing wrong since his posting in Margao, Chandan said the councillors are only interested in the rotation of the Chair and clearance of files, adding that the BJP has told the minister not to transfer the chief officer out of Margao.
