MARGAO: Speculations are rife that that BJP Nuvem MLA Wilfred D’sa, Velim MLA and Minister for Water Resources Filip Neri Rodrigues, besides Cuncolim BJP MLA Clafacio Dias are in close contact with I-PAC and there are possibilities they too may follow the footsteps of Luizinho Faleiro in coming days.
Many are of the opinion that MLA Wilfred D’sa, Filip Nery Rodrigues and Clafacio Dias are very close to Luizinho Faleiro with regard to politics. Luizinho was in talks with all three in order to convince them to support TMC in the wake of upcoming elections in Goa.
When Herald questioned Luizinho about the issue he said that the leaders don’t follow but the leaders lead.
While Nuvem MLA Wilfred D’sa said that he has not yet decided to join any political party with regard to contesting upcoming elections.
“I will be taking the decision by deliberating with my workers and supporters. At the moment nobody from the TMC party has approached me. I will surely consult my workers if I receive any offer from the TMC,” he said.
Wilfred was very much positive in saying that TMC will get stronger in Goa having leaders like Luizinho Faleiro.
Reacting to Luizinho’s leaving Congress party Wilfred said the way Girish Chodankar is handling the party management day will come when all other MLAs of Congress will also leave the party and only Girish will remain alone.
Nuvem MLA said that his workers are urging him to contest as an independent candidate. “But still there are days to decide upon and the final decision will be taken in the coming days with consulting the workers”, he informed.
Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias denied joining TMC but he will decide upon the offer if received by taking his workers into the confidence.
On the other hand, Water Resources Minister Filip Neri Rodrigues did not answer the phone call when contacted.
