PORVORIM: BJP MLAs used the discussion on grants of the assembly session to shower praise on the works and efforts undertaken by the State government and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

While the MLAs also used the opportunity to ask ministers about pending development works in their respective constituencies, some of them like St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes took potshots at Ministers like the Sports Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar as to why there was a big delay in projects like the development of sports grounds.

The minority MLAs however made it a point to express their solidarity with the demolition of a church in Delhi with Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes even asking the CM to take a delegation to meet the Home Minister or Prime Minister in Delhi to ensure that that issue is resolved.

There were also demands from ruling MLAs for the construction of new police stations and providing urgent relief to farmers who have been affected by the floods and Cyclone Tauktae.
